Limin Song, M.P.H., President & Treasurer
Qigong Master Teacher Limin Song began the study and practice of Qigong
in 1989. She earned her Certificate of Qigong Training from the Medical
Qigong Institute of Liaoning Province, China in 1992. Two years later
she received her Qigong Teacher diploma from the Qigong College and
Research Center of Practical Qigong in Benxi, China as well as her Acupuncture
and Massage diploma from the Liaoning Chinese Medicine Institute. More

Doris Segal Matsunaga, M.P.H., Vice President
Doris Segal Matsunaga has worked in community health education, research,
and program administration in Hawaii for 25 years, and holds a Masters
Degree in Public Health. She currently serves as Health Education Director
for the Kalihi-Palama Health Center, training health professions students
and coordinating community and clinic health education programs.
Doris' experience includes work with both rural and urban community
health centers, a Native Hawaiian Cancer Research Project funded by
the National Cancer Institute, the Hawaii State Legislature, the Kaiser
Permanente Advisory Council, and the State Board of Health. Ms. Matsunaga
has practiced Iyengar yoga for over 20 years, and aspires to learn and
practice Qi Gong.
Robert ¡°BC¡± Cowling, Secretary
Since 1995 BC Cowling has served as the lead organizer for American
Box Car Racing International (ABCRI). ABCRI is a Hawaii nonprofit organization
whose goals are to facilitate healthy family activities and help kids
become productively focused and stay out of trouble. Mr. Cowling is
ABCRI¡¯s Executive Director and has provided tremendous serivces to
the Hawaii communities. He is as well as a Qigong student.
Dr. Russell DesMarais, D.C., Director
Dr. Russell DesMarais is the founder of Three Rivers Crossing Center
for Qigong and Traditional Chinese Healing in St. Paul, Minnesota. Dr.
DesMarais is a Doctor of Chiropractic and Certified Chiropractic Internist
(Northwestern College of Chiropractic, 1977 and 1988), Board Certified
Acupuncturist and Certified International Qigong Master and Teacher
(National Science and Research Center for applied Qigong in Benxi, China,
1995).
Dr. DesMarais has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in the US, England
and China and has been treating patients with a synthesis of Eastern
and modern Western healing approaches since 1977. Dr. DesMarais served
as the first president of American Medical Qigong Association in 1996.
Jizhou Yang, Director
Jizhou Yang is an outstanding international Qigong master. He was born
and raised in Anhui, China. During his younger years, he suffered severely
from a few major health issues and totally healed himself through practicing
Qigong. Master Jizhou Yang is loved and treasured by many people who
are lucky enough to come across him since he spends most of his time
on retreats in remote areas in China. More

Ted Baker, J.D.
The father of two children, Ted Baker has been an attorney in Hawaii
for the past 15 years. During that time, Ted has worked as a trial and
appellate lawyer with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney, City
and County of Honolulu; held a variety of legal and administrative positions
with the Department of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii; and has
been in private practice, concentrating on appellate litigation, since
1996.
Ted is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Hawaii chapter
of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and participates in a number of community-based
organizations. His personal interests include the practice of insight
meditation.
Dr. Terry Shintani, M.D., J.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Terry Shintani¡¯s groundbreaking work in nutrition and preventive
medicine and work with Native Hawaiians has helped many people improve
their health and quality of life. Educated at Harvard and the University
of Hawaii, Dr. Shintani is the widely known author of The Hawaii Diet.
He is the Director of Preventive Medicine at the Waianae Coast Comprehensive
Health Center and is continually working to further the development
of nutrition and preventive medicine.
Ronen Zilberman
Ronen Zilberman is a freelance photographer who has covered war activities
in Beirut and Lebanon; and has worked professionally in Israel, New
York, Los Angeles and Hawaii. Ronen has studied photography and media
arts in Israel and Hawaii. His work ranges from war covering war to
fashion, portrait and commercial photography. Ronen has an active interest
in Qigong, Zen and Taiji.
